Why I Coach

My passion is both witnessing and assisting people who are walking through tough times, situations, emotions, and facing decision points. I use a combination of Positive Psychology coaching skills, chaplaincy, mindfulness practices and personal experience. I've been there - I know the terrain from both personal experience and from being a chaplain with long-term, memory care and end of life residents at a care center.

I've also come out on the other side - not around, but right through the darkness of addiction, affected family member issues, divorce and loss of a child - and I know we humans have both the capacity and the courage to make this journey. And sometimes we need support to do this.

The strange thing is that there are gifts to be had on the other side of difficulty that come only from facing the issue squarely and being willing to encounter the difficult emotions in the service of gaining the wisdom, compassion and forgiveness that live beyond the pain.

Mission: To draw from expertise in positive psychology and personal experience to provide compassionate guidance that empowers individuals to heal from grief, trauma, and addiction allowing the rediscovery of their authentic joy and serenity.

Vision: I aim to create a safe space for individuals to confront their pain, learn healthy coping mechanisms and reclaim their innate wholeness.

Values: - I believe in the fundamental goodness of each human being.

I will support you as the layers of grief, trauma and addiction are uncovered and walk with you to the homecoming you've always deserved.

About Me

I am passionate about creating environments for individuals to (re)discover both their essential goodness, innate wisdom, and character strengths. Along with this I love helping people find their focus and passion, their deeply meaningful life goals, and the paths to achieve those goals.

In my coaching, using Positive Psychology-researched tools and strategies, and fueled by the client’s own wisdom and history of strengths and skill sets, we can:

  • Highlight your strengths - the top ones that are part of who you are, and the ones that are available to you when you’re challenged.

  • Identify and clarify the deeply meaningful goal(s) that you want to accomplish.

  • Build the road map to take you to your goals - identify challenge areas and/or learning gaps; strategize the means to help you take each step , culminating in achievement of your goal(s) with a renewed awareness of your own resources and strength.

How coaching with me works:

Deep listening and recognition of your strengths.

As a chaplain, 12-step sponsor and certified Positive Psychology Coach (Wholebeing Institute) I bring a capacity to both hear the stories of success and struggles, and point out the strengths and wisdom that have carried you to this point in time.

The coaching allows you to access your own inner sense of purpose, strengths and wisdom.

I serve as a clear-eyed witness, and collaborator to your process of taking achievable, tangible steps towards your best-self and heart-felt goals.
